Kintra Farmhouse was built in the 1870s and it is a beautiful farmhouse. The Bed & Breakfast accommodation comprises three bedrooms, two of which are ensuite and one which has its own dedicated bathroom. Guests enjoy the use of two lounges, one with a big open fire on the ground floor; the other on the first floor, sumptuously furnished and with great views. We have a great selection of books, from local history to modern fiction.
Margaret Anne Mactaggart is your host, and is a font of knowledge on everything you might want to know while on your stay: Islay – and Scottish – history, Gaelic, culture, the best food, the best distillery tour, the best spots around Kintra, from the shores to the north or the rocky inlets to the west. Margaret Anne is a linguist: as well as Gaelic and English, she speaks French and German and is learning Italian.
We offer Bed and Breakfast for £40 per person per night.
